The computer has many functions and instrument of internet access nowadays.Almost everybody has a computer. Having a computer brings conveniences to our life. We can use the computer to search search for data, edit report and send e-mail...etc. However, people overuse computers to do things, for example, play computer games, use MSN, browse the webpages, and so on. Those actions cause many problem and effect for internet addiction. The problem of Internet addiction can affect a person's health, school work, and personality. A computer nerd is a person who is internet addiction to show too much interest in computer network.
According to research conduct in several universities, there are 44 percents of students who are computer nerd. This is very serious problem in our society. Students admit that computer addiction affects their health and course badly. For example, If you use computer over five hours that you may have pain in your loins and back and aches in your joints of both hand and finger. Also, staring at the screen for a long time will damage your eyes. The students arrive late or are absent because they stay up playing game and MSN until midnight. Some students even quit school and examination.
Another problem is the negative impact of computer addiction on their personality. If a computer nerd doesn't touch computer in a short time, they would feel anxious. Morever, they could not control their sentiments for any things. As a result, the computer nerd is social misfit who may have abnormal personality. That is really serious!!
Computer addiction is cuased by the using habit of a person however it hardly removes from daily livings. They need support from their families and friends who do best to cheer them on when they suffer difficulty. I suggest that they learn other habit instead of using computers, they can try to develop other hobbies.
